Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. A warm hello to all, and welcome to Fine Art America. My serious interest in photography started back in the 80's when I was still working as an engineer. I soon joined a local camera club - which I must say - was the best decision I've ever made to improve the quality of my work.
